Ask the Rabbi, JewishAnswers.org

Ask the Rabbi, JewishAnswers.org: " . . there is so much more to this; the kosher food laws exist to ensure the good treatment of the animals we eat, and that the human beings who follow the laws will behave as human beings ought, as G’d’s stewards over this planet, as the elect of His Creation, and not just as fellow animals, competing like dogs for good eats. The only kosher land animals are the animals that can’t smell blood, or death, that don’t mind being herded, and that aren’t smart, like a pig or dog or rat or cat, or a parrot, or a dolphin or a porpoise, and so won’t see death coming"

Rabbis-Notebook - Shoftim - Torah.org

Rabbis-Notebook - Shoftim - Torah.org: "t G-d judged, condemned, and punished the nation using a scale of justice calibrated to that generation's potential. Although only Achan transgressed G-d's law the entire nation shared the blame. The justification for doing so (while not exempting Achan of blame) was due to the power and influence that the environment of the nation should have had upon Achan. Had the entire nation behaved in a way that expressed total abhorrence to transgressing G-d's law Achan would not have taken from the forbidden wealth of Yericho. For some reason the nation as a whole was not 100% committed to G-d's definition of right and wrong, good and evil; therefore, the entire nation was punished because of an individual's transgression. HaRav Ariel Bar Tzadok

HaRav Ariel Bar Tzadok: "have Kabbalah without Halakha (Jewish Law). This would be akin to a soul without a body. This is what we call a ghost. There are many Kabbalah cults operating today and HaRav Bar Tzadok still publicly speaks out to set the record straight by providing accurate and correct information in this area.

This is why our website was named Kosher Torah, to serve as a source for practical and realistic teachings that strip away the hype and cultish garments of mysticism and to provide authentic, legitimate, grounded teachings that emancipate the soul to see the sanity and sheer simple wisdom of the Torah.

While the Yeshiva began as a Sephardic institute placing emphasis on the Torah teachings of the great Sages of this community, we have found this to be rather limiting. Therefore, KosherTorah includes the teachings of all schools of kosher Torah, regardless of their ethnic origins. HaRav Bar Tzadok will often quote RaMBaM alongside the Baal Shem Tov and the Ben Ish Hai alongside the Hafetz Hayim. All Torah that is good, proper and true are welcome here."

Kabbalah4All.com | Journey With Us From Wherever You Are On The Globe™

Kabbalah4All.com | Journey With Us From Wherever You Are On The Globe™: "Kabbalah is the ancient wisdom which is the blueprint of Creation itself and has influenced most of the world's religions and spiritual traditions. It teaches us how to listen to our spiritual-self and transform our ego nature. Kabbalah is wisdom for all of humanity and is summed up as "love your neighbor". At its most basic level it teaches that we are all one."

Torah Attitude

Torah Attitude: "Whoever studies Torah and does not practice it, he would be better off had he not been born. "And when you rise from your study, seek if there is something that you have learned that you can put into practice." Rabbi Shalom Schwadron used to tell a parable about a needy person who asked for an appointment with a wealthy acquaintance."

Students, 'experts' hold social justice ... JPost - National News

Students, 'experts' hold social justice ... JPost - National News: An “alternative team of experts” has vowed to work to create a better and more just Israeli society and economy, during a press conference on Monday in which they announced the launch of their work.

Billed as an alternative to the 22-member subcommittee headed by Professor Manuel Trajtenberg appointed by Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu last week, the team of experts includes over 60 academics, economists, and public leaders who will work independently to find solutions to the social issues facing Israel.

The Open Siddur Project

The Open Siddur Project: The Open Siddur Project is building it, online, on the web: a collaborative digital-to-print publishing application where you can make your own siddur, share your work, and adopt, adapt, and redistribute work shared by others — work intended for creative reuse and inclusion in new siddurim and related works of Jewish spiritual practice.

Imagine a social network focused on publishing built around privacy, collaboration, and a public database and digital library of Jewish liturgy in a format that can easily show historical variations and changes across Jewish traditions, manuscripts, and facsimile editions

Basic Jewish Concepts

This Channel or BlogSpot is being developed as a website specifically to provide an easily accessible source of many of the fundamental Jewish concepts which while they may be considered elementary to those who very learned, they may not be universally known, understood or appreciated by the majority of the Jewish people who are not religious.

Basic Jewish Concepts- By Sand Cloud -(A nomdeplum.org, for A Website Developer Who Perhaps has learned "too much" about  how "The overseers of all Websites" have somehow managed to create penalties for individuals who own and develop many virtual properties or websites, or channels on the World Wide Web.

Nomdeplum.org is the registered domain of the developer of these BlogSpot Channels, and currently is the registered owner of over 250 domains, in various state of development. There are many categories and values for these domains some of them are being developed while others are being planned. Some are also for sale as well. Readers of these blogs who have specific interests in websites or domains should contact the publisher at the e-mail adress provided in the profile.

I found the photo from the above BlogSpot link. It seems to be an equitable way to share. In other words, I like the picture which I found by doing a google search, however its unclear to whom the photo belongs. Therefore sharing a link to the website which I found the photo seems to be the proper thing to do.

[ There is some question, regarding this however, it does seem that there is a general movement towards sharing images. The question of course arises when asking, how do know that the blog that 1st published this image indeed has the right to use it. ]

The creator of this Blog sometime feels as if he has indeed gone a bit over-board as in having too many varied places (or Channels) to publish his works or even share his collections from other writers on the web. However when I do start blogging or producing my own originally developed writing, which may be based on other sources, it then becomes important to publish the findings or results in the right place, instead of diluting the focus of sometimes closely related websites which do not directly match the stated purpose.

Always multi-tasking has its downside, as does always increasing one's numbers of Channels, websites, or domains. In simple terminology a website, domain, or a blog become like a hungry mouth to feed. As one adds to their holdings they then have to realize an old stale website, without new content, rapidly becomes yesterday's new.

I would love to go on, with this because I do love analogies or metaphors epecially when they are borrowed from the field of biology or nature.
